An index, read every morning, reported once a week.
OrgTicker is an independent research operation. It does one thing: it keeps a daily record of what 168 technology companies publish on their own career pages, and it reports the changes to people whose work depends on noticing them early.
Why it exists
The company side of the ledger was not being kept by anybody.
Company career pages change constantly and almost none of it is written down anywhere. A page with forty roles on Monday has thirty on Friday, and nobody records which ten went or that eight of them sat in one team.
Job boards solve the other half of that problem. They help people find work, and they are good at it. Nobody was keeping the company side, the part that says what an organisation decided this week, for the people who need to know it before the brief goes out or the quarter closes.
So the record is kept here instead. Read everything every morning, throw away the noise, send one page on Monday.
How it is run
Independently, deliberately small, and answerable for every number.
Not venture funded, not a division of anything, and not selling data to a third party behind the report. The index is the product and the report is the whole of it.
The one commitment that matters is on the data. Every figure comes from a page any reader can open. Where a company publishes no salary, the report shows no salary. Where a week is quiet, the report says the week was quiet rather than padding it out.
If something in a report ever looks wrong, ask, and the source page comes back with it.
